Outstanding food and excellent service. We will definitely be back. This place is busy, and for good reason. Parties of two may be able to get in without a reservation, but it seems like a reservation is generally necessary for any night of the week. We watched plenty of parties without reservations get turned away. Even with a reservation for our party of four we still waited about 20 minutes for a table. Our app (eggplant parm) came out fast and was delicious. Our entrees came about 40-45 minutes after the appetizer. This restaurant is relatively small and was absolutely slammed and we were mindful of this during the wait (both for the table and the food). However, the food was so good you'll forget you waited for it at all. Our party had the lasagna, penne al vodka, smoked salmon salad, and mushroom ravioli. Everything was excellent. Not to mention, the restaurant itself (particularly the outdoor area) is super cute. Great ambiance. All in all, this was the best pasta I've eaten in ages and I will dream about it until we can visit Luna again and try other dishes. Until next time, Mendo

Luna is an awesome choice if you looking for more traditional style Italian dishes. It can get quite busy so reservations would be recommended. On this trip we had the stuffed mushrooms, the fried calamari, steak & shrimp, and the linguine vongole. For dessert we had the berries with custard. Enjoyed everything here and enjoyed the banter with our Italian waiter. Calamari (4.5/5) - calamari was tender, batter wasn't too thick. Only real critique is that wish the portion was a bit bigger Stuffed mushrooms- (4/5) - these were tasty but not sure if I would order these again. Steak/shrimp (5/5) - Both the steak and shrimp were cooked well. The menu says the steak is 8 ounces but felt a bit smaller. The shrimp had a nice bite too it and tasted fresh. Fish comes with a substantial portion of linguine. Linguini vongole (4.5/5) - Didn't get to eat too much of this as my kids slipped this up. Nice broth with the noodles a good portion of clams Berries with custard (4/5) - This was better than I expected. Leaning more on the lite side with the fruit being a major component of the dish. I'm not the biggest fan of raspberry and blackberry but if you like that you would enjoy this more. The custard itself was really good.

As someone that hasn't had much success at Italian restaurants on the west coast, this is the best Italian spot I've tried in California! We came by early for dinner the past holiday weekend and were luckily able to get bar seating without much of a wait. After putting our order in, we were quickly served complimentary bread. Once our food arrived, we were delighted with both dishes - spaghetti & meatballs and farfalle California. My fiancé and I both agree that the farfalle was our favorite but the spaghetti was still solid. At the bar, everyone was friendly - both employees and other patrons that were chatting with each other. Overall a great experience and would come by again if I'm in the area again!
